CASK COLLECTION

Our Cask Collection celebrates Glenfiddich's unique Solera marrying process. The magic happens when our hand-crafted Solera Vat marries Glenfiddich whiskies matured in specially selected oak casks to ensure continuity of flavour.

VINTAGE CASK

Our Malt Master has hand-selected peaty Glenfiddich whiskies matured in European and Bourbon vintage casks, which are married together in small batches in our unique Solera Vat to create this luxurious smoky, characterful and unrivalled lingering velvety whisky.

A CELEBRATION OF CASKS

Vintage Cask is the culmination of our coopers' passion and skill. After decades spent mastering their craft, they instinctively understand how the very best quality wood can imbue our precious malt with extra rich layers of Glenfiddich character and complement the velvety peaty flavours.

APE MATURED IN HANG-SELECTE SHORT CHARACTER AND AN

MATURED, MARRIED, MELLOWED

Our Malt Master Brian Kinsman personally hand-selects Glenfiddich whiskies distilled from peated barley, giving it an unmistakeable peaty profile. After being matured in Bourbon and European vintage casks for many years, he marries and mellows these casks together in small batches in our pioneering Cask Collection Solera Vat, allowing us to create extra richness, depth and complexity.

RICH AROMAS AND LUXURIOUS FLAVOURS

Our Cask Collection Solera Vat allows the individual and complex flavours found in each cask to marry, mellow and interrningle in our large handmade tun that is always kept at least half full to create ultimate consistency.

Nose

Freshly cut straw and bonfire smoke on an autumn evening. The intermingling of the smokiness and leafy, floral notes is quite mesmerising.

Taste

An initial burst of sweetness with vanilla, crème brûlée and citrus is immediately followed by a rush of smoke, burning embers and meadow flowers. The flavour meanders from sweet to smoky peatiness and back again with every sip.

Finish

Sweet oak and dry smokiness.
