FOR THIS 18 YEAR OLD OUR CRAFTSMEN FULLY FINISH THE WHISKY IN SPECIALLY SELECTED PEDRO XIMENEZ AND OLOROSO SHERRY CASKS TO CREATE A COMPLEX FLAVOUR WITH LASTING SWEETNESS.

ABERLOUR WHISKY WAS BORN IN THE SPEYSIDE VILLAGE OF ABERLOUR MADE WITH LOCAL SPRING WATER FROM THE BEN RINNES AND BARLEY, NOW LOCALLY SOURCED FROM THE FIELDS NEAR OUR DISTILLERY.

LET THE CASKS ADD DEPTH

WE MATURE THIS SINGLE MALT IN TWO DIFFERENT CASKS: AMERICAN OAK AND EUROPEAN OAK BEFORE FULLY FINISHING IT IN FIRST FILL PEDRO XIMÉNEZ AND OLOROSO SHERRY CASKS TO ADD DEPTH AND RICHNESS.

FOR THIS 18 YEAR OLD OUR CRAFTSMEN BRING THE SPIRITS IN BOTH CASKS TOGETHER BEFORE FULLY FINISHING THEM IN FIRST FILL PEDRO XIMÉNEZ AND OLOROSO SHERRY CASKS FOR THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF TIME. THIS IS AN ART, NOT A SCIENCE, TO ACHIEVE JUST THE RIGHT BALANCE OF DEPTH AND FLAVOUR.

THE LOOK IS AUBURN GOLD

THE AROMA IS THE COMBINATION OF JUICY SULTANAS, ORANGE ZEST. DRIED CRANBERRIES, TOFFEE BUNS, DARK CHOCOLATE, BLACKCURRANT AND PLUM JAM.

THE TASTE IS RICH AND FRUITY ON THE PALATE WITH NOTES OF APRICOT. CHOCOLATE COATED RAISINS, LIQUORICE ROOT AND FRESHLY GRATED NUTMEG.

THE FINISH IS LONG AND COMPLEX, WITH LASTING SWEETNESS.
